It's been a slow month. I have, however, greatly enjoyed it. I have to go back to work in about three weeks, so I am enjoying my time impersonating a sloth right now. I have been productive in one area. Our driver and race team (dirt track stock cars, 'member?) have finally decided to aggressively pursue sponsorship. There's always been a lot of hesitation in the past. They weren't comfortable asking for money (or product) for whatever reason. Well, with the new year that changed. And since I can write, type, research, and know what a resume looks like, guess who's in charge? We put together a pretty decent resume and potential sponsorship package and every other day or so, I get a text message asking me to send it to someone else. Now we're just waiting for responses. I also have gotten pretty good at mocking up sponsor logos on the car. I'm particularly proud of myself since I do it without the power of Photoshop. I have Photoshop. It's just sitting in an unopened box under my desk since I don't have a computer with enough guts to run it. I use a combination of Word, Paint, and Photoscape. Photoscape is a free editing program available on the interwebs. It's good too.
Until next time
