Out with a Bang
It's currently one hour and twenty minutes until midnight. It's also New Year's Eve. I'm sitting in my grandma's family room with my parents and a couple of aunts and uncles. There are two conversations going on. One: gays in the military (it seems to have progressed to fertility treatments/adoption now) and two: tire recycling laws. Sadly, I have nothing better to do. This was the best option. My other choices were watching movies with my sister and her friend until midnight (don't think so), going out to the desert with other family (it's 30 degrees out, so not a chance), or spend it cuddled up in bed with my tv, book, or laptop. Actually, that one is still a possibility. New Years is pretty low on my list of favorite holidays.
